Literally. An uncrewed test flight of SpaceX’s next-generation Starship spacecraft exploded just minutes after liftoff from South Texas on Thursday, cutting short a key step in Elon Musk’s development of a rocket vessel to eventually take humans to the moon and Mars.

Talk about a rough start!
The Starship is a key part of Elon Musk’s plan to eventually take humans to the moon and Mars, so this setback is definitely a blow to those ambitions. But as with all things space-related, failure is just a stepping stone to success. After all, every rocket scientist knows that you ❗can’t make an omelette without breaking a few space eggs.
